B. Die Pair-Specific Comments

We have been unable to locate an example of this variety. Courteau states it had the obverse of BUC-209 (O209) and described a die crack pattern identical to that on O209. It was the reverse die (R210) that was new. Courteau describes the die as having the bottoms of ONE PENNY recut (repunched) and the anchor ring being complete. We find that none of the reverses of the other 1850 pennies has that combination of characteristics.
